The National Archives of Korea designates and supports the safe preservation and management of national designated archives which are records owned by individuals or organizations deemed to have the value to be permanently preserved at the national level.
The Archives of Saemaul Undong designated as National Designated Archives No. 6 in 2011 include educational materials for Saemaul Undong Training, various materials produced by villages and trainee records, recorded and preserved in a variety of forms such as documents, slides, tapes and movie films. The Archives of Saemaul Undong are valuable materials of the international community for eradicating poverty and achieving modernization in developing nations, as well as historical records of the success of rural modernization.
