Korea Saemaul Undong Center (hereinafter the “Center”) protects its users’ personal information through its personal information protection policy.
The Korea Saemaul Undong Academy considers the protection of its users’ personal information on this website as an important matter and sets forth its personal information protection policy in accordance with the Act on the Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, according to which it shall collect, store and handle personal information in a legal and appropriate manner. Pursuant to its personal information protection policy, the Korea Saemaul Undong Academy also inform its users of the purpose for which, and the means by which, the personal information they provide is used and the measures taken by the Center to protect their personal information. In the event of any amendment to its personal information protection policy, the Center shall notify of the same by an official (or a separate) announcement on its website.
The above policy shall be enforced from March 19, 2019.

Consent to the Collection and Use of Personal Information

Purpose of the Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Center handles personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of persons filing complaints and the content of such complaints, as well as contacting and notifying them for fact-finding and the results thereof.

Processes and Methods for the Destruction of Personal Information

The Center, in principle, destroys personal information without delay once the purpose for handling such personal information has been achieved. The processes, periods and methods of such destruction are as follows:

-Destruction Process
Upon achieving the purpose of use, information provided by users is destroyed immediately or after storage for a certain period of time upon being transferred to a separate DB (or a separate document in case of paper) in accordance with internal policies and other laws and regulations. Personal information transferred to a DB at this time is not used for any other purposes unless legally required. Personal information is destroyed (a) within five days from the last date of storage period, in the case where the information has been stored beyond such period, or (b) within five days from the date on which it is recognized that the information is no longer necessary due to achieving the purpose of use, termination of services or projects relevant thereto, etc.

-Destruction Method 
Information in the form of electronic files are destroyed using technical means for permanent and irreversible deletion of records.
